Billboard Latin Music Awards 2023: Peso Pluma, Bad Bunny and Karol G sweep top honors

Peso Pluma is in his ganador era.
The regional Mexican star swept the Billboard Latin Music Awards, held at the Watsco Center in Miami, on Thursday night. The "Ella Baila Sola" singer took home a total of eight awards, becoming the top-awarded artist of the ceremony. Doble P won honors in coveted categories such as best new artist, songwriter of the year and best solo regional Mexican artist.
Closing in on Peso's winning streak was reggaeton juggernaut Bad Bunny, who nabbed seven awards. The Puerto Rican singer was named artist of year and scored other top prizes, including tour of the year, sales song of the year and Latin rhythm artist of the year.
Rounding out the leading winners were Colombian pop star and Spirit of Hope recipient Karol G with five awards and regional Mexican group Eslabon Armado with four awards.
